100 days before the end of 2017
/Today marks 100 days before the end of the year 2017!
How are your 2017 goals coming along?
For most people (me among them), there are things you wanted to accomplish that you haven't even started yet.
Fortunately, 100 days is a great time period for achieving goals. It's a sufficient block to achieve progress, but short enough to leave no room for procrastination, which leads to a greater likelihood of success.
I know this from experience, having used 100-day plans several times to achieve big professional and personal goals. Among them:
1. Getting back to sport and being active everyday. I now play basketball twice a week and follow a workout plan that forces me to go to the gym 5 days a week
2. Turning an idea into a side hustle in 100 days to earn at least 500$ per month. My income has increased since then and that has allowed me to earn enough to quit my day job
3. Read 2 books per month on personal development and business to develop my personal knowledge
4. Learn photography techniques to improve my photo quality and post one photo a day on my Instagram account.
Here is a tip on how to plan your successful 100-day plan. The planning process takes between 30 and 60 minutes to complete. Implementation is then up to you.
BE SMART
S - Specific
You need an objective that is worthwhile, quantifiable, and at least arguably achievable.
i.e. I want to read 2 books about [specific topic: how to earn a passive income online] per month for 100 days to develop my personal knowledge.
And NOT I want to read some good books to develop my personal knowledge.
See the difference?
M - Measurable
As I said you need to be able to quantify your goals. Bring numbers in. I want to read 2 books per month. Not 1, not 1 and half not 3. No wishy-washy goals allowed, otherwise, how will you know you have succeeded?
A - Achievable
It is up to you to set the bar. You know yourself. Do you want to challenge yourself or stay in your comfort zone. It is up to you. Reading 2 books per month means reading 1 book every 2 weeks. A book can be about 300 pages on average. That's 20 pages per day. Do you believe you can find the time to read that amount of pages per day?
R - Realistic
It goes together with Achievable. Be realistic, you know your schedule, you know your priorities. So setup your goals accordingly.
A wise man once said, "It's better to be at the bottom of a ladder you want to climb, then halfway up one that you don't."
To avoid getting on the wrong ladder, you need to ask yourself "why" at least three times while you're setting your objective. As in, "Why do you want to achieve this particular goal?"
The point is to ensure that whatever you're going to spend 100 days trying to accomplish will ultimately help you achieve a higher purpose. Otherwise, what's the point?
T - Trackable in time
Finally, you need to be able to track your goal overtime to see progress. No deadline means no priorities and you won't take it seriously
What I personally do is break down my objectives in small weekly and daily tasks.
Each daily task will contribute to my weekly tasks which will contribute to my monthly task to achieve the optimal goal at the end of the 100 days.
So map out your goal and then reverse engineer to today in order to know what you need to do from tomorrow to reach your goal at the end of the 100 days.
Let me be the first to congratulate you!
This plan is not easy but very valuable as it forces you to get out of your comfort zone and help you achieve a goal you have been putting away for months!
One of my main goals for this year was to quit my job to focus 100% of my time into my online business and helping other people like me willing to follow my footsteps! Which I did.
Thus I am a firm believer, and I hope it works for you as well.
If you wish to build a better future, you need to start now and stop pushing to tomorrow things you could actually do today. If you seek financial freedom or improve your current business, you can still join my team today and let me help you achieve your 2017 goals!
Until the next one,
Don't forget to live your life to the fullest,
Life is short, create memories.
